Media Reports on Hormone Replacement Therapy and Breast Cancer
A study published in today’s issue of the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) on the increased risk of breast cancer and HRT is drawing a great deal of attention from the lay press. Robert S. Hoyes, CRPh, FIACP, President of Hoye's Pharmacy attended the International Academy of Compounding Pharmcist's (IACP) annual meeting in Washington, D.C. in July to lobby for the rights of patients and physicians to compounded medications. Robert met with Florida representatives to discuss the benefits and importance of compounding. Hoye's Pharmacy has been attending this meeting for many years.

Kathleen Vaes, Heather Vermette, Sales Representatives for Hoye's Pharmacy just returned from an educational marketing program on the many uses of compounding in a variety of medical practices. This program was held at Professional Compounding Centers of America (PCCA) in Houston, Texas from May 20-21, 2010. They were joined by Robert Hoye, CRPh and owner of Hoye's Pharmacy.
There were over 100 attendees from around the country discussing how compounding can be used in a variety of medical practices, it's benefits and new ideas for helping practitioners grow their practices. A lot of great ideas for Urology and Gastroenterology practices. Hoye's Pharmacy staff just returned from the 18th annual World Congress on Anti-Aging Medicine and Biomedical Technologies meeting held in Orlando, Florida. The April 15-17, 2010 meeting held CE programs for weight management, hormone replacement therapy, thyroid therapy, nutrition and it's role in health, chronic fatigue therapy and fibromyalgia. The pharmacists and pharmacy education/sales representatives attended this exciting event, continuing their commitment to education and learning.
